  • Regulations on the curator

    1. General provisions

    Study groups in the College are the center of educational work. A necessary condition for efficiency in working with student groups is that they are in constant contact with experienced supervisors, teachers and organizational teachers. The supervisor of the study group is a special spiritual advisor to the student. He should help students to master the methods of teaching, to educate the spiritual and moral qualities of students, love for the Motherland and respect for the chosen profession.

    The supervisor is appointed by the deputy director for academic affairs, the head of the department and the order of the director of the college. Supervising and fulfilling his duties is the official duty of the teacher. Curatorial work is an important indicator of the effectiveness of pedagogical activity. The leaders of the group are guided by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education”, the Charter of the college, present regulations, the decisions of the pedagogical council, and orders of director and the concept of educational work.

    2. The purpose and objectives of the supervisor

    • The main goal of the supervisors is to create harmony in the personal development of youth, to educate students in civic activism, and to develop self-education and self-expression skills within the framework of the students’ curriculum.
    • The main task of the supervisors is the organization of educational work in the study group, the formation of self-government and the gradual involvement of students in the social and creative life of the college, as well as the study of educational programs during the training period.

    When conducting educational work the curator performs the following functions:

    1. Formation of assets of the group (asset) and establishment of mutually beneficial relations between the student group and the activists of the group; group cohesion, cooperation, relations between public organizations and the group.
    2. Together with a group of activists defines the goals and objectives of the student group for the academic year. Together with activists of group make the work plan corresponding to the plan of educational work of College providing continuity and continuity of educational work.
    3. Supervises the execution of work in accordance with the work plan, coordinates the activities of group activists and is the key contact between the College administration and the student group. He is in constant contact with community organizations to encourage students to participate in College and community life.
    4. Students of the group are provided with information about the Director’s instructions and instructions regarding the educational process. Introduces students to the internal regulations, the Charter of the College and organizational structures. Informs about upcoming competitions, events held at the College and in other departments. It promotes the experience among College groups.
    5. Provides the administration of the College, public organizations with information about the interests of students, requirements, proposals.
    6. If necessary, the student organizes psychological support and assistance to students in cases of socio-psychological problems of young people.
    7.  In order to study the life and living conditions of students, identifies those in need, provides assistance to improve their living conditions, (places them in a hostel, etc.), is in close contact with parents (if possible, makes appointments).
    8. Defines specific measures for the performance of civil, ethical, aesthetic, professional and cultural, sports and public works .
    9. Contributes to the formation of civil activity of students by increasing the patriotism of young people, participates in the formation of civil, legal and professional thinking of future professionals.
    10. Promotes a healthy lifestyle of students, organizes activities for the prevention of alcoholism, Smoking, drug addiction.
    11. Carries out activities for prevention of crime and disruptive political events in the student’s environment.
    12. Promotes the involvement of students in intra-College competitions, competitions within the Department, Olympiads, scientific seminars, conferences and other social events.
    13.  Promotes participation in student councils, clubs and organizations.
    14. Organizes the dissemination of information on the forms and methods of effective leisure.
    15. Participates in the organization of thematic events that will help students increase interest in their chosen specialty.
    16. Maintaining a close relationship with the parents of students in a controlled group, monitors the discipline and academic performance of students.
    17. Organizes student self-study. It monitors academic performance and experience, and identifies the causes of inactivity and poor student performance.
    18. Regularly participates in meetings as a representative of the College administration, in General meetings  according to the work plan of the Board of supervisors.

    The supervisor of the first course is obliged:

    1. Within a month after the beginning of classes to acquaint students with the Charter and structure of the College, the rules of internal regulations and to document the implementation of these tasks by students.
    2. To organize the reporting of the educational process in the College to acquaint students with the features of training, intermediate examination and final assessment for the semester.
    3. Students should be familiar with the organization and performance of their own work (with their own help or with the involvement of a specialist, with the rules of work and rest, the rules of intellectual work.
    4. Students should be familiar with the activities of youth organizations in the College and their role in the formation of social activity, with the social protection of students (with the participation of private and specialized personnel).
    5. Should be acquainted with the history of the specialty, Department and College, the tasks and future of the College, with teachers and advanced students.
    6. Students should help students adapt to educational institutions, dormitories, and community service.

    The rights of the supervisor:

    1. Independently to choose methods, means and forms of educational work, the purposes and tasks of educational work taking into account the plan of educational work in College and at Department, interests of the students.
    2. Apply to the administrative and public organizations of the College to improve the living conditions of students, educational activities;
    3. Participate in lectures, seminars, practical and other classes held in the group, in advance agreed with the teachers;
    4. To check the current, intermediate and final control of the discipline in all disciplines;
    5. Use all opportunities to communicate with parents and relatives of students;
    6. Participate in the discussion of all issues related to the group and individual students;
    7. To monitor the correctness of the information entered in the electronic database about each student;
    • Make proposals for the promotion, accommodation and eviction of students from the hostel;
    • Make recommendations to the administration and trade union organizations to assist socially vulnerable students;
    • To communicate with institutions for the training of students, to receive educational and practical experience;
    • Have a full impact on students who interfere with the normal process of teaching and learning;
    • Participate in the work of student self-government bodies, make proposals to improve their activities, actively involve students in the work of these bodies and submit their candidacies to student self-government bodies.

    The supervisor must issue the following documents:

    • Personal documents of students;
    • reports: current information (monthly), semester and annual.

    Responsibility of the supervisor

    The supervisor is responsible for the implementation of the curriculum of the educational group, approved by the head of the Department, agreed with the Deputy Directors for educational and educational work.

    Procedure for making changes

    Proposals for amendments and additions to this regulation may come from all: teachers, students and others. Changes in this Regulation may be made by heads of departments, Deputy Directors, other people who engaged in educational work, collegial bodies.
