Although string instruments are the most numerous group of the symphony orchestra, learning to play them at the Aktobe Music College named after A. Zhubanov developed uneasily and ambiguously. If in other departments a stable team of like-minded people formed relatively quickly, who chose the college as a permanent place of work, then teachers – stringers for a number of reasons – mainly for family reasons – unfortunately did not stay in our educational institution for as long as they would like. That is why the class of string instruments existed autonomously, and then it was part of a much more numerous branch of wind and percussion instruments, which thus became orchestral.
So let’s remember the stages on this thorny path.
Back in 1973, in the Aktobe Music School at that time, through the efforts of Tatyana Nikolayevna Uspenskaya, who came from Russia at the invitation of the first director K. U. Kozhanbayev, a violin class appeared – the first swallow in learning to play stringed instruments.

Worthy students of Tatyana Nikolayevna, who grew up as real professionals and, in turn, brought up more than one generation of talented performers, were L. Yerokhina (Polegonko), V. Asfandiyarova (Yakhudina), I. Vikhlyaev, V. Shinkarev, O. Shudlovskaya, M.B.Byshkina and others.

At Aktobe College of Music, all the activities of A.P. Samokhin, who gave her more than 40 years, took place. Unfortunately, the professional training of cellists and double bassists is still unstable, although such highly qualified teachers as L. G. Krivoruk, E. D. Yelemesova, V. G. Zryachev, and A. M. Gilmanova worked in this direction.

Yu.M. Gafurov, who first organized a chamber orchestra and successfully conducted it, made a great contribution to the formation of string instrument performance in Aktobe.

Work in this direction was continued by the Excellence in Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.A. Yermekbayev and K.M. Duisenbayev, who expanded and enriched the repertoire and capabilities of the collective.

Young ambitious teachers are ready for active creative work in order to raise the prestige of the department, which must correspond to the high level and the existing achievements of our educational institution.
The warm and reverent attitude to his specialty and the educational institution that determined his life path was perfectly expressed by the graduate, and then by the teacher I. N. Byts: “Our profession, we can safely say, belongs to the exclusive. Firstly, it is, of course, a hearing given to you by God, and secondly, I would call it a state of mind, a readiness to bring to the people a light, bewitching and giving spiritual strength to people. I consider my native Aktobe Music College to be the source of such prosperity”.
