The 3rd Republican competition-festival of performers on wind and percussion instruments «Zhastar» was held on March 27, in the hall of the Aktobe Music College named after A. Zhubanov, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 50th anniversary of the Aktobe Music College named after A. Zhubanov within the framework of the cultural and educational project «Zhubanov meetings». The competition was attended by more than 40 students from children’s music schools of the city and the region, and students of the AMC named after A. Zhubanov. This event was held in compliance with all sanitary and quarantine measures, without spectators.

 The skill of the participants was evaluated by the jury. The heads of the Aktobe city orchestras were invited to the professional jury. The winners of the Grand Prix were Viktoriya Bondarenko (Сhildren’s Art school named after K. Medetov, saxophone), Darina Kartbaeva (№3 Children’s Music School, flute), Dastan Duysenbayev (Simbat School, drums) and the BrassKomboBand Ensemble (AMС named after A. Zhubanov). The remaining students were awarded diplomas of laureates of 1,2,3 degrees and diplomas for participation. As well as the leaders and concertmasters received letters of thanks for the preparation of the contest participants.
