Piano is one of the most popular, versatile and beloved musical instruments in the world. That is why the Piano department was one of the first in the Aktobe Music College, which opened in 1971. The qualifications of the music school teacher and accompanist received by the graduates are traditionally among the most popular in the field of music education, so the department quickly became one of the most prestigious in the school.
Graduates of the department work in music schools, art schools and music studios, are prepared for performing, teaching and cultural-educational activities. They have the opportunity to continue their education in higher educational musical institutions of art and culture.
The Piano Department has been training specialists since 1972. For all the years of the department’s existence, more than 300 highly qualified mid-level specialists have been trained who either continue their studies at higher educational institutions or work in various fields of cultural activity and creative structures of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Nurslan I. – 2 place, Abdulova A. and Kulimova A. – 3 place. 2014 – Shaukembaeva Janis went to the contest in the USA and took 1st place, 2016 the Republican Delphic Games – 2nd place, 2014 – Iskakov Aidos – 10 Republican Delphic Games – 2nd place, 7th international pianist competition “Europe-Asia” – 3rd place. 2019 – international competition “Uli dala urpagimiz” – Mukhambetova M. – Grand Prix, Zhumakhmet J. – 1st place. 1 The international competition “JASTAR” was first held on the basis of the Aktobe College of Music named after A. Zhubanov in 2019. Many students of the department became laureates of this competition.
Students of 3 and 4 courses each year participate in the Republican Small Olympiad among pianists in the Almaty National Conservatory
Beisenova A. and Shaukembaeva D. in 2017 won the competition for awarding a scholarship to the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
All teachers of the department are practicing pianists. At numerous concerts held in college, in the city and region, teachers and students of the department perform. Teacher Gafarova N.U. performed a solo concert of jazz music in the philharmonic, and teachers of the department performed a solo concert in college.
